Re: PeriGuard
To Whom It May Concern,
My mother, Betty Joe Shelton, was diagnosed in June with Multiple Myeloma. In July she became a paraplegic from spinal cord swelling. She received radiation in her upper spine and also in her right hip. Between being bedridden and the radiation she developed a bed sore on her buttocks that nothing seemed to help.
After her treatments she was admitted to Genesis Nursing Home in Milville, New Jersey for physical therapy. We tried Balmex, Silverdine (prescriptions) Pro Shield Ointments. Nothing seemed to help, actually it got much worse. It seems that most products hold in the heat due to radiation. Then they tried PeriGuard and immeadiately it started to heal. It was the only product that helped her. (That was in September 2000)
She was released September 25th and until two weeks ago was doing fine. (The staff sent us home with several tubes of PeriGuard) Another sore started to develop, we had exhausted our supply but through the nursing home they gave us one last tube. We knew we would need more. I just wanted to let you know what a difference this product has made.
Thank you,
Rose Parrish
